Stuff I Make

I love designing clothing for organizations and clubs. I did most of our colorguard gear and always participated in the design a t-shirt contests in college. Sadly, my design skills were limited to Paint at the time. I actually got pretty good!

Our final project in my college pottery class was to make our own version of a classic or ancient piece of pottery. I chose a Mayan 3-legged pot. They were supposedly gateways into hell. The seven puzzle pieces represent the seven layers of Mayan hell, the star shows the importance of science and charting the movements of stars and planets and the fish and flower are meant to represent life. The pocket watch is a design of my own. I have been drawing it for years and it just felt right  to add it to the Mayan pot. It is timelessness and curiosity all rolled into one.

Knitting Projects!

I picked up knitting my freshman year of college but didn't really get into it until my senior year. I started this first blanket  my freshman eyar before I knew how to purl. Once I mastered that in my senior year, I moved on to make the cool patterns I used in the blanket. I then went on to knit my brother one just like this but more "boyish" colors, and now I am double knitting a special blanket for my boyfriend. He loves Daredevil.

I'm going to need a lot of patience to make enough squares for this one. Double knitting, as the name might imply, takes twice as much time.
